MINUTES FOR COUNCIL MEETING HELD AUGUST 10, 2017

Nashville Village Council Regular session was called to order by President Kenyon on August 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers.

Motion by Coll seconded by Hartwell to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes – Courtney, Willacker, Hartwell, Felder, Coll, Zoerman, and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – none.  Motion passed.

Motion by Willacker seconded by Coll to approve the minutes of the previous Regular meeting held July 27, 2017 as presented. Ayes – Zoerman, Courtney, Willacker, Hartwell, Felder, Coll, and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – none.  Motion passed.

The attached list of bills totaling $309,180.82 were presented and Motion by Courtney seconded by Felder to allow the August bills as listed to be paid and have orders drawn on the treasurer for the same. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Coll, Zoerman, Courtney, Willacker, Hartwell, Felder, and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – none.  Motion passed.

Zoning Board Appointment

Motion by Coll seconded by Hartwell to appoint Ryan Willacker to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Ayes – Felder, Coll, Zoerman, Courtney, Willacker, Hartwell, and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – none.  Motion passed.

 

 

Boy Scout Hall (516 Middle) Demolition Bid

Only one bid received from Gardner Farms for $6,750

 

Motion by Coll seconded by Willacker to accept the bid from Gardner Farms for $6,750 to remove the building at 516 Middle. Roll Call - Ayes – Felder, Coll, Zoerman, Courtney, Willacker, Hartwell, and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – none.  Motion passed.

 

Historical Society Update

 

Committee Reports

Fire – hopeful to auction the old grass truck on September 9th (during Harvest Festival); hired new fireman; flow testing completed; various new small equipment purchased.

Transfer Recycle – 2016-17 audit report – clean audit

 

Roundtable

Kenyon – thoughts and sympathy for Cheri Carney (brother passed away) and Jack Quantrell on the death of Judy. Judy will be missed in the community.

Zoerman – new village signs look great

Coll – Antique outdoor market had a good turnout

Hartwell – Congratulation to Ryan on joining the ZBA; loving the music going on outside tonight

Courtney – Good turnout for concert; will miss Judy

Felder – Nice to see turnout for tonight’s street performances; will miss Judy

Change order – Robinson Electrical

Motion by Coll seconded by Willacker to approve the change order request from Robinson Electrical for $7,000. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Felder, Coll, Zoerman, Courtney, Willacker, Hartwell, and Kenyon.  Nays – none. Absent – none.  Motion approved.
